A one-day photography experience built on a simple, supportive framework to help you slow down, reconnect with your creativity and feel confident behind the camera.

Photography isn’t just about learning settings, it’s about learning to see differently.  Together, we’ll move through five simple steps that take you from feeling stuck and uncertain to creating images that truly reflect your unique perspective.

STEP 01

Mindset Reset and Creative Goals

We begin by exploring where you are now and what you want to create. You’ll uncover what’s been holding you back and set calm, creative goals for the day ahead.

STEP 02

Camera Setup and Menu Walkthrough

Together, we’ll set up your camera properly, walk through your menu settings and make sure everything is ready for you to shoot with ease.

STEP 03

The Exposure Triangle Explained Simply:

You’ll learn how aperture, shutter speed, and ISO work together to shape your images. We’ll break it down in a way that finally makes sense.

STEP 04

Practical Exercises and Guided Shooting Practice

Now it’s time to put everything into action. You’ll practise using your settings in real scenarios, experimenting with composition, lighting and storytelling.     In the house, out on a walk or using my dogs and horses...the choice is yours!

STEP 05

Review, Reflection and

Finished Edits:

We’ll review your images, download and edit a few together, and you’ll leave with finished photos that reflect your unique creative voice.

Discover What’s Possible With Photography Mentoring

Whether you’re just starting out or ready to go pro, I’ll guide you step by step so you can create images you love and a business you’re proud of.      Each session is hands-on, practical and designed to help you grow in confidence, creativity and skill.      And yes, if you’re already a business owner, you can even write this off as a business expense!

Here Is How I CAN Support You

With over twenty years behind the camera, my journey began as a director of an equine photography company, capturing polo, luxury events and high-profile clients. These days, life looks a little different. I still photograph luxury events, but I also work with small rural businesses, rent my home as a location house to brands and run a boutique equine fine art business creating luxury framed art prints, all while raising a family.

I now welcome you into my modern country inspired home, where creativity feels calm and unhurried. Just a gentle stroll down the road you’ll find my beloved horses and countryside that inspire so much of my work. Here, we can really slow down, walk, talk and photograph in a way that helps you reconnect with your confidence and see the world through your own lens.

How It Works

Your Journey, Your Speed

If you’re new to photography, we’ll start with the foundations. You’ll learn how to take your camera off auto, understand how light and angles transform your images and build confidence of how to tell stories through your photos. We’ll also explore work flow and post production as well as important backups and preparing your images for printing.

If you already know your way around your camera and you’re ready to turn your passion into a business, we’ll focus on refining your style, guide you through everything from setting up as self-employed to pricing, contracts and client experience. You’ll learn how to attract clients, manage your workflow, deliver polished galleries and build a sustainable photography business that fits your lifestyle.

FAQ

Where do these sessions take place?

Sessions are held at my home in Waltham St Lawrence, Berkshire, either in my country styled kitchen, in my shepherd’s hut garden studio or out on a beautiful country walk. Each space offers a relaxed, creative atmosphere where you can feel comfortable and inspired.

What should I bring to our session?

Just a notebook, pen and any camera or computer you’d like to use. If you don’t have your own, you’re welcome to borrow my DSLR camera and iMac, fully loaded with professional editing software.

Will i come away with an action plan?

Absolutely! I love helping you put plans in place. You’ll leave each session with clear next steps and I’ll send you notes afterwards too. Every session is thoughtfully planned out and I often include handouts to support your learning.

Do you offer ongoing coaching?

Yes, ongoing mentoring can be tailored to you once we’ve completed the initial 1–3 sessions and know we work well together. Spaces are limited, so it’s best to book early if you’d like continued support.
